Hello all,

I have been reading the different posts on here and on several other boards, trying to absorb as much knowledge as I can from the posted experiences of the members.

Since there are those of you that are on the Registry as well as are engaged/married/in relationships with those that are, I was hoping you would be willing to share your knowledge with me.

I live in Northern California and will either after incarceration or directly following sentencing, will be put on the Registry. I know that Probation has it's own set of rules and requirements which will be explained, however, I have SCOURED the Megan's Law website, as well as tried using key search phrases to find out more information about the Registry.

I have been told by my lawyer that I would not be classified as an SVP, so some of the more stick aspects will not apply to me, however, I still have NO CLUE as to what I am required to do and where I am limited.
There is nothing that I can find on the site that talks about the living restrictions, the location restrictions, where I am and am not allowed to go.

I don't go to schools or playgrounds all that often (I used to walk through a local public park for exercise, but beyond that I don't go there) if at all. Am I allowed to go to the Library? What about going to the Movies?
Am I allowed to shop at the supermarket or do I have to make sure it is after a specific time?

So many horror stories about what folks have to deal with in their lives. Limitations, vigilantes, loss of work and home.

What am I facing?

I see countless posts talking about the loss of constitutional rights due to the "legal" effects of the Registry.

It all seems so hopeless.

Please answer if you can.
