RSOL-Sex offender conference in two weeks; urgent
dbradford
Dear Friends, Members, and Supporters,
This is an urgent request!
Together, you and I, along with our dedicated friends and volunteers, are defending the most disparaged and despised citizens in America: the people of the registry.
Thanks to the financial support we received last summer, RSOL was able to send representatives to two very important national conferences: the general conference of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) and the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL).
And, in just two-and-a-half weeks, beginning on November 20, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) is holding a special Sex Crimes Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The upcoming conference brings attorneys together from all across the United States, attorneys who specialize in representing registrants and those accused of sexual crimes. Therefore, it is critically important that we send representatives to Las Vegas who can speak with these attorneys, distribute literature about our movement, and further expand RSOL's network of supportive legal professionals.
But before we can make our final plans, RSOL must pay registration and exhibition fees, cover travel and lodging costs, and reimburse any additional costs associated with attending this conference.
And while we are close to raising enough money to cover our expected costs for this conference, we're not there yet!
So, if at all possible, please consider making a contribution of whatever amount you can afford today by visiting our website and donating.
Politicians and lawmakers can't seem to act fast enough in their efforts to make life more burdensome, and the hope for improvement more difficult, for the hundreds of thousands of people branded with the modern-day equivalent of a scarlet letter.
We must raise $4,000 to cover the remaining costs related to sending a representative to Las Vegas. And we are depending on you to help us out.
Please make a contribution of whatever amount you can afford today, whatever amount is within your budget! Just follow this link and make your contribution now. Choose "Presence at NACDL Conference in Las Vegal" from the drop-down menu. You may also mail checks or money orders to: RSOL-NACDL, PO Box 36123, Albuquerque, NM 87176.
As always, thank you for your continued support for this cause. And please know that any contributions you make are managed frugally and efficiently in service to our primary cause: the end of a public registry.
Respectfully and gratefully yours,
Brenda V. Jones

Our money could be better invested. We don't have the resources to send people to expensive conferences when we struggle to support ourselves. RSOL needs to think of better ways of investing these meager resources. $4000 is a lot to ask for just to sit two people at a booth for a couple of days.
