The 8th amendment of the US Constitution, forbids cruel and unusual punishment, the politicians state that the registry is not a punishment, but it is punitive. I can prove otherwise I believe. Since on the registry, I have suffered 5 heart attacks ( I was healthy before the registry) A double by pass surgery, and suffer from PTSD and severe depression, do you think that's cruel and unusual punishment? The registry itself, hurts more people then it helps and tears apart families, punishes innocent family members, and for life, ruins a person with a BIG SCARLETT LETTER, and the rules keep changing. Maybe next they will pass a law that you must have SEX OFFENDER tattooed on your arm, like the Nazis did to innocent Jews marking them with numbers permanently., welcome back to the holocaust my friends, It seems Hitler is still alive

I'm sorry and understand the enormous damage this can cause. May I ask how old you are? Not everyone understands how devastating the registry can be. I do think it's very important to hear the ugly parts of the registry. That is what historically stops genocide.

I journaled a study recently and was so shocked of the high percentage of PTSD and the long effects of it pertaining to PTSD. Proper medicine really helps with anxiety and socializing with others that you can speak to helps.

I hope your health is stabilized? I write often about the correlation of the holocaust and the registry. Often historically genocide is not recognized until after the fact.

Sparky, you are going to have to fight tooth and nail. Keep looking at your options and NEVER GIVE IN! There has to be an angle you can use, I do hope something good comes your way.

im only 51,my first heart attack was age of 40, I was recently in the hospital for my heart in December, I have to take Xanax 3 times of day to help control the anxiety and panic that happens on a daily basis.My current Ejection Fraction rating is down to 27% And implanted in me is a difibulator/pacemaker that I will have for the rest of my life, as is this scar down the middle of my chest from the bypass surgery.. I know that my heart will not hold up, I was already told, one more heart attack, and I would not make it. Thank you to the State of Florida and the good old USA, you are killing an innocent man.

That's really bad and has to be hard to take. Florida is such a crazy state! Xanax has to help a little with the anxiety. I can't imagine being not guilty and going through this.

I had written this article some time back as evidence these laws are punitive despite what they claim.

I guess I better save up for the conference. I was going to skip this year but having it in Dallas is intriguing, plus I'd love to meet Lenore.

We are hoping to go

My son went to federal prison at the age of 21 and he's 24 now. From all the stress of this he is going bald. We have an appointment for hair transplants. Baldness does not run our family.
Not to mention I feel like it took 10 years off of my life and I'm only his mom. punitive huh?

This process has aged hub 10 yrs. In just a few months he went completely grey. One of the CO's even mentioned it when he was leaving reception for main line. I can only imagine what it will be like whenever he comes home.

I think this process has aged me 10 years at least. I already had PTSD so this whole thing has not helped.

My son's PO said they wrote down In his release from the prison that he has PTSD as well. I don't care about myself so much.. even tho I look in the mirror and I'm shocked at how different I look from age of 54 and now at 57 I look so much older. But when it effects my son like this it really pisses me off.
