There is something just not right about this news article about a Republican legislator in Missouri wanting to legalize prostitution for lawmakers by labeling it as a so-called "gift for votes." The fact any legislator would be selling their votes for a romp in the bed with a lobbyist is very disturbing to me.

Missouri legislators are indeed hypocrites.
I do like the fact that the State's nickname "Show-Me" is so fitting for this... gave me a giggle when followed by sexual misconduct. LOL
The question I have is, would that make lobbyists prostitutes? or would prostitutes just have to register as a lobbyist to practice as long as they only provide services to legislators? I am assuming for free too, unless there is now money changing hands?
I can't believe someone is trying to make it some kind of legislation... that is just crazy! LOL
The legislator sponsoring the Bill decided to except lobbyist from having to put a dollar value on the "gift of sex" for obvious reasons, i.e. to give the appearance that what they are not doing is prostitution.
I am not sure which is worse, the fact we have legislator having sex with their staff members and lobbyists or the fact we have a Bill to make that conduct legal. It certainly raises serious doubts about the moralities of lawmakers especially when these lawmakers are overzealous to create all these laws that make practically everything (figure of speech) a sex crime now days.
It also supports your question wisconsinrsol of whether a prostitute need only register as a lobbyist to bypass laws prohibiting prostitution and thereby develop an entire new list of clients of the seemingly higher class.
