Hello all....My brother will be a registered offender in Florida. (worst I know) We have a 2500 foot restriction to live. I know he cannot live with or near me. But my question is this....if he finds a place to live or is homeless, the rule is he has to reside there 10pm to 6am. After 6am is he allowed in my house if no one is home? My son will be 9, so if he is in school, can my brother hang at my house? And also, if there is another adult present, is he allowed near my 9 year old? I really do not know how we will do this if not. I do have some time, but my brain is in full gear.

Yes you are in the worst state. Everything depends on how the court order is written. It doe not matter if there is another adult there or not. If he's not allowed near any child under the age of 18 it makes no difference the number of adults there are.

My recommendation is to move out of Florida...

Unfortunately a move is not an option thus far. I am just wondering how he will live if they deem him homeless. Thank you

My suggestion is to look for halfway houses or apartment buildings that are owned by companies that rent specifically to those on parole. That is how my children's father is managing in CA.

I'm sorry this took so long; I didn't check back til just now. He's 2000 miles away, so it's not an issue at the moment, but he is not allowed contact with our daughter until parole is over; son, yes. The charges had nothing to do with our children, but the restriction is still there.
