Anybody can do this..you just have to want reform..
Dear CURE Chapters and All CURE Members,
Please take a moment to read this email and help us out. As
some of you know, the US Congress is getting ready to vote on key
Federal prison reforms in the next few weeks. It has much support but
we are in a push to get every single person to help out that we can.
Please take 4 minutes of your time and lend your support. This is
FREE and very quick and easy to do.
S.1675 -- This legislation would give ALL federal inmates not serving
a life sentence up to 114 days of good time per year. This more than
double the old good time.
S.1410 -- This bill would make the Fair Sentencing Act retroactive.
S.619 -- This give federal judges the ability to sentence below the
mandatory minimum, where appropriate.
All you have to do to support these bills is go to www.prisology.org/action
It takes less than a minute to sign in support of these great reforms.
Once the form is submitted online, it will be faxed to key U.S.
Senators. We can make our voices be heard if we all help support the
effort.
In the first 3 days there have been over 2000 people sign in support
of these bills. This is the first time that any decent prison reform
has had this much support and might actually pass. Please forward
this to everyone you know and help us push Congress to pass these

I told all of you on Thursday how frustrated I was with the Senate
failing to take action again on the reform bills. I promised you that
we would take action make our voices heard. In cooperation with
Prisology, a new non-profit that is working to change the criminal
justice system, we have come up with a plan.
Earlier in the year, we worked together and were able to get over
10,000 letters sent to the U.S. Sentencing Commission requesting that
it make some serious changes to the Guidelines. In response to your
letters, the Commission agreed to take a look at adopting certain
amendments. The Commission will announce its plans for 2014 most
likely in March. We are looking for some good news, too.
Similar to how we did with the letters to the Commission, we need to
do it again.. This time, we are going to make our voices heard in
Congress. This is how the campaign will work.
1) All of your friends and loved ones need to visit
www.prisology.org/action. That webpage features a form that they need
to fill out with their information and submit. Once the form is
submitted online, it will be faxed to Key U.S. Senators. We are going
to keep the faxes in the U.S. Senate running 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week with letters from you, your family members, and your loved ones.
2) I know you don't have access to a fax machine. Don't worry. Just
print out the form letter that I am sending in a separate message.
Plug your information in and mail it to my office. Each letter that my
office receives will be scanned in and faxed off.
I have learned that sending letters in the mail to Congress receives
little attention. That's not the case with faxes. So we are going to
fax them so many letters they will have no choice but to listen.
To make this work, I need your help. Let's get the word out and make
this happen. We are NOT powerless to help effectuate change.
