I know the person who posted this. Despite the name, it's the story of someone who was charged with enticement (and apparently use of interstate facilities because he's currently in federal prison). It's told in a very straightforward way from the POV of the person convicted.

The person who posted it is not the person currently in prison, but someone who has been on the list for 15 years following a divorce-related accusation.

The comments are definitely mixed, but interesting.

Good story. Thanks for posting it..

I find it strange that the police believe they're doing a good job "Fishing" for people. Stories like this need to be taught in school so that kids growing up will know the lengths that the police will go to get an arrest. I don't know how this isn't entrapment. What about children who are really in danger.... screaming for help and turn out to be police?

People have really lost it with regards to social media. They've become "Fish in a barrel!" The internet has become the easy way out of personal contact with friends and family and that's what makes police stings so easy. Instead of facilitating personal contact it's made it so impersonal. Like sending an email to someone's birthday as opposed to a hand written card or a phone call or a personal meeting. We are losing what it means to be a friend. "Liking" someone is replacing the personal contact of the past and that is what the police are relying on to sting you...

What strikes me is that there are literally millions in the state budget to generate virtual 14 year olds that have to be protected, but a teacher I know who teaches actual 13 and 14 year olds can't get social services to lift a finger when they are in actual danger because there are no funds.
