Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but they only use that in therapy.
I personally think it is horrifying and ridiculous. Some states don't allow that test anymore.
The state my fiance was convicted in and was incarcerated in is one of the states that doesn't allow it anymore, however since he did the interstate compact to this state, he falls under their therapy rules and has to do it. I get sick every time I think of him having to go through with it. He hasn't done it yet, but he has to before he is discharged from therapy.
To read more about both here is a good link.

But honestly the test is a joke. It isn't allowed in court durinb the trial process to show that someone may be innocent of the crime. I never had to do it, I did the VRT test which wasn't terrible. I fell within the standard range of adult men, not into children or pictures of bondage or rape or any of the other paraphillas. That was uncomfortable enough, I can't even imagine taking this test.
