Hello all,
I was just hoping some of you that live in CA can tell me about the Probation system.
What is expected? Is it doable?
I have an Uncle in Colorado who is serving a sentence for a SO crime (He was innocent of the charges they put against him but he was too proud to fight, thinking it would be easier on his wife and everyone involved if he just plead guilty) who has said that Probation is a system setup to make you fail. What they expect is so unreasonable that you can't possibly get through it and that I would just end up serving the full sentence because of it.
Can any of you tell me what I should expect if I am lucky/blessed enough to get probation?

I'm not familiar much with California.
Texas is a coin toss depending on where you live. There a couple counties I know my husband would rather die than deal with. Our county isn't horrible, but it still sucks.
They do have expectations (his is keep his nose clean, keep up with his payments, stay employed, do well in group.) He isn't hassled much because he keeps up with all those things.
It is annoying having someone constantly looking over your shoulder and the restrictions are controlling, but it is doable.
