Protecting Children?

Could somebody please explain to me how feeding these kids to the justice system protects anyone? To quote Melissa Doss, public information officer for the St. Peters Police department.

"The cases will be sent to family court, which handles juvenile cases, in a couple of weeks."

Not that we're going to warn the kids of the consequences of sexting or that we're going to get the parents involved or try some kind of diversion program. Nope, nothing sensible like that here in America.

I know Aladdin - it has just become a witch hunt and it has nothing to do with protecting anyone. Kids have been arrested for 'playing doctor' also. As long as the public believes the hype it will continue.

FOLKS - since when is nudity pornography??? This drives me crazy - but it is happening all over. Even if they are underage if you look at most states laws nudity itself does not constitute pornography. My goodness next thing we know they are going to start arresting parents that take pictures of an infant that was just born because the child is naked! We are all born naked!! Art throughout history has portrayed nudity.

So nudity becomes porn because the person is a teenager? What about children who are models and pose in catalogs for underwear etc. Is that child porn? You know I go through periods of time (more often now) where i am so angry over all of this crap and just so over it!
