95% of prisoners will be released at some point. Just because as a society we should want their experience to be positive so they do not offend again does not mean we condone what they did. Nor does it mean we are shunning the victim(s) of their crime.

When I've tried to explain this to the conservative side of my family all I get from them is we need to make the sentences longer. My response is I guess that's one future way to go but it doesn't fix the 2.5 million people in prison now who will eventually get out.

How ignorant is our society?

That so many people released from prison are re-arrested is as much, if not more, a failure of society as it is of the individual.

GREAT video!

I know that I am a christian... but he hit the mark with the watermelon joke. (yes I laughed soooo hard!) The reason is everyone has something in their past they are not proud of. They should not judge others neither.
