Prisoner mail

I have been sending my son mail, several envelopes in the past 2 weeks. He has not received anything from me. Also mail he has sent out to a good friend received the letter opened, resealed with staples and the envlope was EMPTY when received. This is a repetitive problem. Has anyone come across this problem and how can I get to someone important to complain and have this practice of not receiving mail and removing mail settled. I find it extremely disturbing. Thank you.

actually in the prison i was in you had to send out mail unsealed. it's not tampering when it come to the safety and security of the public. <---getting sick of that excuse.

BUT. if the letter is address to a lawyer, then it maybe sealed and can not be tampered with. contact a lawyer and have your son send the letter to your house with the lawyer's name on it. with his permission. or make up a fake lawyer's name. who's to know. if it does not come contact your lawyer and sue them so bad their children still has restitution.

We have been haveing the same sort of problems. I've had to send my man's mail by register post that way I know its gotten there we even know who picks it up and at what time.

Thank you all for your replies. I especially like the one about sending mail registered. How unfortunate we have to go to such lengths. I will try that route but also in the meantime I will write or email the prison. It's just difficult picking which address to send to and hoping it gets in the right hands. Thank you again.

No worrys. Yes it is crazy what we have to do just for a simple letter. The other thing you can try to do is call the postal services see if they can help you at all. Oh when you call the prison make sure you talk to someone in charge.

i don't want to be mean, but i wouldn't call the jail/prison. things might get out. no one like a snitch, and they usually end up worse than missing mail. just be extremely careful how you proceed

Find out his rights as fair as mail god and start qoting them in his letters its something I've done yes they don't like it to much but he needs to know his rights.
