It's 2:30 am and I can't sleep, so I decided to pray for my sons, instead of worrying about them. The Bible says, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, let your requests be made known to God..." So, I made a list of prayer requests. Please feel free to add your own prayer requests for your loved ones.
1. Grant spiritual rebirth to my sons. Grant them the gift of repentance. Grant them faith unto salvation.
2. Grant me wisdom and knowledge to guide and assist my sons, as they face legal challenges.
3. Grant my sons protection from every evil power and influence, including their own carnal natures. Bring them forth out of darkness into your marvellous light.
4. Grant my sons favor with every authority figure who wields power over them.
5. Enable my sons to earn and deserve respect from every member of their families and local communities.
6. Grant my sons wisdom and knowledge as they move through the legal process. Enable them to know what to say and do and what not to say and what not to do, so their standing in society remains upright and they do not become victims of unscrupulous lawyers, judges, CPS workers, police investigators, or anyone who would seek to do them harm.
7. Grant lifelong protection to my sons, my grandchildren and daughters-in-law from every evil thing, power, or influence, from every accident, disaster, or calamity, including consequences resulting from their own carnal natures.
8. Grant forgiveness and healing to my sons for every wrong they have committed against their loved ones and against society. Teach them to make right choices, putting the welfare of others above their own welfare.
9. I lift up to you the ones who have sought to harm or punish my sons, whether deserved or not, asking you to reverse any evil intent they may have in their hearts toward my sons and their families. Grant instead an attitude of mercy toward my sons. This includes any and all past, present, or future judges, attorneys, probation officers, corrections officer, social workers, therapists, healthcare professionals, or adversaries of any kind.
10. Grant abundant resources to my sons, enabling them to adequately and timely reimburse attorneys, advocates or supporters of any kind, to meet every financial obligation, and to provide proper care and nurturing to their dependents.
