I'm an atheist but I listen to the news and because the pope is coming here tomorrow,. and I just like to be aware of what's going on in the world. . Listening to him, he talks about everyone should be able to live a productive and supportive life. The basic things needed to be productive include things that SO are denied.
I wish the SO community had those rights.

It is the thing that kills me the most inside, how illogical it all is. Having a good family life, place to live, decent job to pay the bills are all factors into making a person more stable, and thus less likely to commit another sex crime. Our policy actually takes away opportunity costs from commuting another crime, how insane is that? Sigh, people are sheep.

The problem is also that although I would imagine Pope Francis would be very upset about how the USA forces RSOs to live he probably does not have the foggiest idea - I have actually thought of writing him a letter. He cannot really do anything about it but he can become vocal about it! I have to laugh though - he is probably the only Pope ever accused of being too liberal by the USA right wing! I think that is a little humorous ....
