I will start out by saying I know victims groups will never allow this. The premise is an oldie but a goodie: it's better to let 10 guilty men go free than to convict one innocent person.
So in cases of he said-she said, wouldn't it make sense to polygraph the victim to make sure that we aren't convicting an innocent man?
I know false reporting is less than 8% of all cases, but that's still higher than the recidivism rate of SO's, so it makes sense to protect the integrity of the process by having these poly tests.
I would agree not to use the poly at all, but if they do, at least use it to safeguard innocent people as well as to perform "maintenance" tests to measure compliance of SO's.

Yes, I think in some cases where there's no evidence of a crime and questionable credibility of the accuser, they should polygraph. My husband's situation would have been perfect for it.
But, yeah I don't think any of the victim's groups would be up for it...even tho' false accusers hurt their cause and just the threat of a polygraph might keep some people from falsely accusing.
They said he had over 2000 'suspect' cp and he said there were maybe 1 or 2. In his confession I heard them stop and there was a silence , and then they continued. I'd ask them if they really thought he was a sex offender and see what comes up on a poly. Then the prosecutor lied continuously thruout the sentencing. They lie and it's ok, but they want my son to take a poly?
