I signed - unfortunately petitions that are about Registered Citizens never get much support. The problem is that unless you know someone that is affected by these laws no one has much sympathy or understanding. Most people unaffected believe that anyone with CP is a molester or was about to become one. I also think the petition is too specific - in other words it says about people accidently viewing the CP and I know this does happen but the majority of CP folks just made a really bad choice and it was not an accident. Advocates need to relate that regardless of intent the punishment is way too harsh for the crime.

But I think speaking to the public making them understand that some people can come across it accidentally might strike a cord.

I signed, I do think advocate is right though it shouldn't only be about the people who accidentally encounter it. It should be more broad
