Plea deal

So went before judge today for hubby to accept plea deal for 1 count cp. had to accept 1 to 2 yrs incarceration state time followed by 5 yrs probation. Sentencing at end of January. Bright spot is da said on the record that she might consider local time if hubby stayed in tx and showed progress (whatever that means) so for now we r gonna concentrate on getting other things done and enjoying the holidays. At least there is somewhat an "end" in sight

At least now you know. The not knowing was worse for me than when I found out.

Not knowing is the worst! We were supposed to know Sept 21st, now it's Oct 30th. 1 ct CP in Federal....his "recommended" sentence starts at 4.5 years, but the judge can go up to 10 years. And it's 85% (which they calculate at 87.5% because our government apparently can't figure out math)....and then at least 5 years of probation and more likely 10. There is zero chance of him being any closer than 300 miles and much more likely it will be 500-700 miles away.

Consider yourself somewhat "lucky" and do your best to get past all this craziness!

I agree, the not knowing is the worst. Then there are a few days after you do "know" that are bad, but then after that, you start feeling like, "Okay, I can do this," at least with a short sentence.
