Hi all, I know people will keep telling us not to move to Florida, but we have to go regardless. Does anyone know of any housing down near Riverview who will rent to RSOs?

First you need to find out what the residency restriction is in Riverview. That will tell you where you can look to rent.

I have lived in only two towns in FL one being Palm Bay just South on Cocoa and the other being St Petersburg. I know while I was in Palm Bay I could find no where that worked out. I wound up living in a mobile home park. I'm not sure where Riverview is if it's anywhere near St Petersburg I could tell you where the park is. As I'm sure from what you already stated not an easy place to live and best of luck to you both.

If you as an attorney the police do not know the law... they like to think they do, they believe they do, but when it come to law, attorney's are it...

But remember they do get to make a person's life miserable while they learn the law too though. So if they are wrong but believe they are right and arrest you and attempt to charge you with a crime, then it will cost you money to 'teach' them something they should have been aware of.

So damned if you do and damned if you don't.. :)

Hi bsturgill, I sent you a pm on here. The way I found out the residency restrictions was to call the county sheriffs departments. They were able to transfer me to so and so,incharge of that countys residency restrictions for RSOs. When I asked for info on where,how, to go about finding a place for my fiance to come home to once he is released, I was told by one county that the prison and/or his po will be able to give him an address of a motel or under a bridge that meets the restriction requirements. Yeah, that actually happened.
Oh, FYI..I put this in the pm I wrote you, but don't forget..a lot of cities and counties have their own laws. So, if you're moving near the beach (st. Pete) that could be tough. A lot of counties here now have 2500 ft laws and a beach is considered where "children normally congregate".
