I just wonder if these sort of petitions really hold any sway or do much good. There are so many of them out there and an equal number if not more petitions asking for residency restrictions. And unfortunately i've noticed there are far more votes on the ones for the restrictions. You would think that considering all the facts and evidence against these restrictions and how counterproductive to the safety of society they actually are that these restrictions wouldn't continue to get passed.

I wonder myself. But it only takes a few seconds of my time so I sign them.

I agree with you Nak, it doesn't take but a few Min's and if we did nothing we would never know. had i known b4 i moved to FL that i was in the worst state, secondly the worst county in the state i would of never came here. something has to give and if we don't try THEY WILL continue with the restrictions, there wont be any reason to leave the penal system. they just passed a law in a neighboring county that SO's cannot go to state parks, beaches, and public libraries....

I'm moving to Philly and setting up residency so my son can be released there instead of Florida where there is absolutely nowhere for him to live.. I think it's down to 3% of all of Florida. I'm going to a meeting this Thursday to talk about residency restrictions. I've been going to the monthly ACLU meetings and there's a guy there who runs a church in Deland and he says he helps those who are just released from prison and he can't find them homes. and it's pissed him off so much that he's organized a meeting about it, hoping to start an activist group. If you live anywhere near Daytona Beach you might want to come.
