Hello, as some of you know, although I do not post often, my brother is currently incarcerated. Through the system the past 5 years we have gotten to know an inmate. He is a sex offender and not scheduled to be released until 2026. He is in his 40's and his family abandoned him. He has inquired to me on how to get a penpal. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. I did find some websites set up to post prisoners and their contact info for people to write them, but wasn't big on posting all his personal information. Anyone ever done so? Thank you.
This holiday season Women Against Registry wants to express our gratitude for each individual and family in this movement. As we all know, this time of year is particularly difficult when a loved one is incarcerated and unable to share the scents, the songs, the foods and the closeness of their family.
W.A.R. is beginning a 'Reaching Out to You' campaign where we will send Christmas cards to loved ones of our members and supporters.
If you have someone we could reach out to please send an email to us via contact@womenagainstergistry.com with their name and full address by November 30th and we will let them know how much they mean to all of us.
Also, if you would like to assist with this campaign you can do so by donating a book of stamps or money to purchase some inexpensive cards
You are also invited to take some cards and names to mail-out.
Lastly, if you are willing to be the Project Manager for this three week project please let us know as soon as possible.
Also, if you have not gone into your account on the new site please do so and take a moment to add your name, city and state and a contact number. We are very interested in your thoughts about the new site after doing so.
