Frank from PA RSOL called and I was so happy about that. We talked about how Florida was like living in an alien country when it comes to SOs. He says PA is bad but it's not like Florida. He says right now what is needed is about $2300 for the attorney's retainer. I'll be sending the lawyer my donation. I know the lawyers info is somewhere on our site. Frank said he'd email me the info in a day or so.

I asked my daughter to see if her non profit might be able to come up with a way to get a buck or 2 from people there in Chicago. She knows a lot of people and most know about our fight here for her brother's rights.

If you're interested in helping you can send it direct to the lawyer, telling them what it's for and then I can notify Frank who sent what so it can all be accounted for.

The attorney seems to feel that they can fight back the Adam Walsh Act one step at a time. I'm hopeful.

Personally, I would need to know what the plan is before I donated to the cause. There are so many possible places to put our dollars. We need some central repository of information where people can see different battles being waged across the country and what resources are needed. I will create a "page" for this on SOFAR tonight.

Anyone who hasn't joined there yet please do so. I truly feel that the SOFAR community should become ground zero for our fight! It is a great community-based site and a real asset to our fight.

I have created a page called Battle Ground Resource Needs within the SoFAR community.

If you know of a "battle" being waged - whether it is something like an attorney attacking the constitutionality of the registry or some other piece of litigation being filed by an attorney, or whether it is a group fighting a bill pending in a state legislature, or whether it is a public protest being organized - please create an Event on that page for each "battle" that requires resources (be they financial, people, or supplies) and list what those needs are.

Frank said the Adam Walsh Act had just been passed there and this will be to fight the residency restriction bill. They have a Supreme Court decision that says it's unconsitutional but they feel they can start chipping away at the laws that are being passed. I'll be sending my donation in as well.

i saw that the PA RSOL site said about paypal, is that still an option do you know? I do surveys and many pay in Paypal, so it would be a good way for me to make the best use of my 'hobby" money

Nakohichi: I have a letter that was sent to me from Matt who works with the PA RSOL that Frank did so that I can send out to RSO here in my area if you like I can email that to you. You can PM me your email and I can send this over.

I just spoke with Frank and he's sending me the info on where to send money no later than Sunday. He says they don't have a paypal on that site.

I am happy that Frank contacted you. The residency case in PA is messy. If the PA Assembly passes a statewide residency law, it will have to go through the courts again. The last case only dealt with Allegheny County's restriction.
