PA Megan;s Law Anyone listed due to CP

I have posted on here before and have a question. Is anyone in this group ever been convicted of CP in PA. If so since most convictons are 2 or more counts due to having and downloading are you aware that you automaticaly go to a lifetime registeration because of this? My husband was convicted on 2 counts and was told it was 10 years and when I looked he was registered for life and they said it was because he was convicted of 2 counts. During this entire time we were never told about this and they only reason I found it is I looked on the website and he was listed lifetime. He called the Megan's Law board and they said it was because he was convicted of 2 counts. The DA, Judge and our attorny was not aware of this and basicly said sorry, nothing we can do. We know some people in this area that have been convicted of this and non of them are aware of this. I am not sure how this can be legal. Any advise on how to fight this? As I had stated before my husband had a 1min and 42 second video and he is going to be punished for the rest of his life. I do not understand how they can get away with this and so many people not be aware.

Ugh this is a total cluster "f" of a situation. We goto court on Tuesday to see my husband's fate. While downloading legal porn he downloaded a file that had ten cp videos in it. A month or two later he saw it but sadly police saw it before he did. He deleted all the files and even frostwire BC he thought somehow he downloaded a virus. He told the cops he downloaded it BC obviously he did and the last six months of our lives have been hell. When all was said and done he was charged w three felonies. 1) 43 counts of possession BC they found still pictures on the computer (we were never allowed to see anything and he watches adult porn and doesn't look at still porn photos), 2) 2 counts of DISTRIBUTION BC 2 files were downloaded from our frostwire accct, and 3) 2 counts of using a computer to commit a felony
A crock of BS!!! Anywho ... we have a worthless POS lawyer who does nothing other than call us to remind us to pop his monthly check in the mail and insult me.

We met with him in July before our pretrial conference to go over "lots of bad news" as he called it. He told us that some "summers eve" corporal in the PA State Police deciphered Megan's List/Law all on his own. The way it reads now ... 1st time offense - ten years rso. 2nd or subsuquent offense - lifetime rso. This non-legal trained moron "interrupted" that to mean 1 count of possession = ten years and 2 counts of possession even on your 1st offense / arrest = lifetime.

He told us to "be happy" they dropped all counts but one count of possession. We need another lawyer but sadly next tues is do or die for us. But the state police is slowly going thru PA RSOs and changing those charged with more than one count of possession from their first offense/arrest from ten years to lifetime WITHOUT telling anyone. Our lawyer only found out BC It happened to one of his clients. And the supreme court says this is "OK" BC get this ... RSO list "is NOT punishment but rather community notification" its a complete crock. I'm sorry that has happened to you.

I am trying to fight rso for my husband with all I have. We have thousands of dollars worth of psychologists bills and test after test ABLE included proving he is not a pedophile yet he will be labeled as a child molestor when he is on the list in January. Talk about False advertisement!!

I'm thankful to have found this site BC I have literally been driving myself crazy over this!!
