I can relate. I have a son in his second year of a 4 yr sentence. I miss him everyday. I get to visit once a month and I can talk on the phone, he usually calls every other day. He has adjusted, taking classes that will help him with early release. My biggest concern at first was his safety, but he is doing fine. He reads, works in the kitchen ,has an exercise group and watches a lot of TV. Then I worried what he was going to do when he did get out. That seems to be working out too. He is in a program that was started by an ex felon . He has a French Restaurant in Cleveland. It is run solely by ex felons. He teaches them French cousine, gives them room and board for 6m. And then helps them find a job. It is horrible to go through, but don't loose heart.
I was so down, angry, crying... But we are getting thru.
