I know a few of you here were looking to be a part of the upcoming ARM event in April so I wanted to give you a heads up--
ARM has made an executive decision regarding the planned OpGetSMART.
As you all know, International Megan's Law (HR 515) is on the verge of passing, and the Senate added a nasty provision that would require Registrants to turn in their current passports and have new ones stamped with "Sex Offender" on them. As this is something that is a matter of urgency, ARM has decided to postpone any further planning of OpGetSMART so we can focus on stopping HR515.
Because ARM is relatively new, we simply lack the resources to tackle both HR 515 and host the planned April rally, so we've decided our meager resources should be used on stopping HR 515.

ARM will plan more events in the future but for now, we need to put a stop to HR 515!
As I stated elsewhere, FAC has reported RSOL has sent some people to DC to try to put a stop to it, but because even RSOL is a small group and there are 435 Congresspeople, we still need to do all we can to stop this bad bill.

With all this mess over so-called "Real ID," it seems there some folks may soon have to show a passport to get on DOMESTIC flights because some states aren't 'Real ID" compliant.
