I am sorry you had a problem here , i know it helps to just vent some times , i do not know who or what upset you , But most of the people here are here to help . Please do not let one or two jerks make you leave . There will always be those that try to rattle your cage on here and elsewhere .

I agree with Spock. Ignore posts like the one today. Majority of us are here to get help and offer help to those who are going through this hell. Please don't leave.

I have not been around for a bit...busy doing life. But I have been here a while. I have seen arguments. I have seen bad behaviour resulting in banning. But I stay. The reality is, not everyone on this board is in the same place. I receive support from those who are helpful and I avoid anyone who is not. I do not read everything. There are some topics that are too hot for me to touch...so I don't. I am here for two reasons. 1. To receive support and information as needed. 2. To give support and information as I am able.

I do not know your story, but I hope you will stick around. Feel free to message me, if you want. I am the mother of a sexual offender. The victim is my granddaughter...his daughter. Don't know if you relate to that at all, but I am here if you want to communicate.

I am also a person of faith who worships the G-d of the bible and is a follower of the Messiah Yeshua (Jesus). I try to live as the 1st century body of believers did. (Don't know if that info helps, but I notice your moniker includes a Psalm.)

I just get easily anxious when there is confrontation because it makes me feel vulnerable because as the wife of a sex offender I dont have many places to go to be safe and non judged. I did not look at the posting of the awards clip....and if its so shocking and disrespectful I dont understand why one would post it on such a sensitive forum....

i watched that video and the only thing that anyone might find shocking would have been the song used during the awarding of the shitake prizes. there was vulgar language in the song. but that's it. and while i can cuss up a storm and didn't like the F words used over and over? the interest i had in the awards kind of over shadowed the language.

i try really hard to follow the rule of each to their own. what i might think is over the live is perfectly acceptable to another. just like people can't agree on disciplining a child there are others who get bent out of shape over language, clothing,smoking and a whole plethora of other stuff.

but the good will, love, caring and support of this forum is way to valuable to toss out simply over an argument or 3. : D

to tell you the truth? any time you get a number of people together in one group you are going to have disagreements. teachers argue, workers argue, church members argue, it seems like it can't be avoided. so please don't give up and leave!!!

Pls stay. I use this place for the same reasons as Deena. The help and support has been a comfort. The info has been invaluable.

Please do not give up on us. I have not been a member for very long, but the help, advice, understanding, comfort I have gotten here has been tremendous. Please do not give up on all of us because of a few disagreements.
My son is currently serving 10 plus years federal for internet CP. He had never been in trouble before, not even a parking ticket. He was diagnosed with a few terminal illnesses, moved back in with me, a few years later all hell broke loose.

There are bound to be disagreements here, but most do their best to offer comfort and compassion.
I hope you change your mind and decide to stay.

Psalm34Amen: Please keep coming back. Yes, like a large family, we have disagreements at times. I realize that your situation is extremely stressful and that you are on your own (as your husband is not able to help).
I have seen discord in every group environment I have been in. I would like to give you a different perspective. I have been very active in AA since 2009, and I have seen squabbles like this in AA groups. Discord does happen from time to time. It is our job to learn and grow from it, which can make a stronger group.

As a registrant, I try to provide the support I can to those who need it. Life is hard for all of us who are here, for different reasons.
