I'm still in shock over what has happened and scared to death of what is to come! Husband had porn on computer, some child porn, and now he is a criminal and I am "collateral damage" even though, as I am sure is often the case, I was totally ignorant of this.
Thank you for being there. Even though some of the posts are very depressing, it helps to see that I am not alone.

I'm in the same situation, but with my boyfriend. Happened before he moved to my city. Now he's in a county jail, 2000 miles away, awaiting his sentence on 11-18. He's been there since July. The first couple of months were the worst, the dreadful "adjustment" phase, when it feels like they died. The information you'll get on this site is at first overwhelming, but knowledge is power. I wish it could be different for all of us. Hang in there and take it one day at a time.

Welcome to our family Blindsided1. You are absolutely right, you are not alone. Our ranks are expanding everyday, but then, so is our strength and the fact that we DO NOT have to lay down and take everything they throw at us. As cklv says, knowledge is power and taking it one day at a time helps immensely.

Welcome, I just recently found the group myself. Be strong and like everyone says...one day at a time. I still am depressed....since I visited my nephew last week in prison. I'm trying to get involved in other prison groups for support. It helps. Your not alone. Some of the stories are depressing and some are inspirational...I try to see the glass half full because if I don't it only becomes harder. Stay strong and God Bless You!

Im in the same situation blind. Just found this group about a week or so ago. It has been a great help. Its nice to know someone else understands and is there for you without judgement. Knowledge is power, I am trying to research and learn as much as possible so that I am better prepared for what lies ahead. I have also been trying to get involved with different groups to learn and channel my energy to be productive and not just sit back and let the system just happen without knowing what we can do about it. I want to be able to be apart of change for this cause. I know I have a long journey ahead of me but I feel with this group it will be easier. I am grateful I am not alone out here.

I feel the same way. Although I'm new in the process, I'm gathering knowledge for when it's my time to be more vocal and fight the fight. I already suspect when major reform and change occur, it's going to be because of women. Wrath knows no fury like a woman scorned!!!

Hi, Blindsided! I'm new to this site, too. My son's serving time for cp that was found on his computer. He'll be getting out in Jan or earlier if he gets approved for parole. You're not alone! Hang in there!
