With what I know of the area, the subsequent misconduct by that prosecutor just a few years later, and what I saw in the clips of their depositions for the civil proceedings they were in, there was enough motive there to frame Avery and his nephew got caught up in it all. If you were a county that was about to get his with a $450,000 lawsuit that they were bound to lose, the insurance company told them that the suit wasn't covered so it was going to come directly out of taxpayer pockets, what would you consider doing to save your own ass?

There is so much motive it hurts, there are so many reasonable doubt issues it is sad, yet our 'justice' system did this.... I can't say with any certainty that either are innocent or guilty, but I'd be more than happy to say they are innocent until the prosecution can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are guilty.
