need help in texas

ok guys this is all new and very difficult for me. 1st off my husband is getting sentenced on december 5th for 2 counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child back from 2003. no outcry was made til 2009. he took a plea because he couldnt stand to see me or our daughter without him for life. he is considered a 1st time offender. his criminal record is spotless...my need for help comes now...what can i expect when we go to trial? I mean am i going to be without him for the rest of my life or what? im at such a loss right now and i see posts that loved ones are coming home...do i have a shot in hell of ever being happy and in his arms again? does our daughter ever get to see her daddy again without a sheet of glass separating them?

Since laws differ from state to state, I would suggest that you contact the Texas Voices RSOL (Reform Sex Offender Laws) group in Texas. MarySue is the organizer there. I don't have the link, since I don't live there, but someone will come along and give it to you. Or, you might find it by Google. Poohbear - Mary Sue with Texas Voices is very active in her efforts and is very helpful and kind. Her group is around 400 people I think. You can request to get on her email list and yahoo group. I had to call her to get approved but first email her and ask her how to join. I share a lot of her emails here also with news from Texas. My son's offense occurred in Texas but we moved up here to Oklahoma where my son finished his parole, so I keep up with both states. Here is Mary Sue's email. She is an angel like many here.

Mary Sue is also on Face Book as well. Each state is different on their sentencing. But I am confused, you said he was being sentenced the 5th of December. Then you said "when we go to trial" Did you mean when you go to court? I assume you've been to trial.
In regards to your child, it depends again on the state laws. Here in Indiana, a child can not LIVE with the registrant until he is off probation or parole, with stipulation that they are not considered an SVP. (Sexually Violent Predator) in which, the state will not allow contact with anyone under the age of 18.
Contact Mary Sue.... she can fill you in on what the laws are and what to expect with those convictions.

thanks guys i appreciate everything...@ RWsMom i meant sentencing not trial...im not totally all together yet...
