I don't live in FL, but I can recommend that you look at the Megan's Law website to see where other SO's reside in your area, then you can look for places for rent in them.

Hello I am in FL and finding a place to live for my son was one of the most stressful things about all of this - I am sure you know that you have to check with the probation people, the sheriff, and the local city for the house approval. I agree with Thought looking where others live is a start - you can also connect you local group (try FAC) and they often have a list of landlords that are willing to rent to SO's becasue even if you find a place that is approved by everyone the landlord does not have to rent to you - when you find a place go as a faily to meet the landlord if you can (might soften them up!)

I'm looking at the registry and driving around neighborhoods where other rso's live to find a house for rent. I have a list of all the municipalities ordinances of the county I live in. I only go look at houses that meet the restrictions and once I find one I will try to get it approved by probation.

Good luck if you can find one. We have been living in cheap motel since he lost his job due to background check that his not aware of outstanding misdemeanor happened 30 years ago. He was trying to get security permit. For the last two years we have been kicked out of relatives home so many times for one fact reason that his now a registered. The only choice we really have to live peaceful go out in the woods with nobody around. We already been in three different states for just two years hoping one day our luck will change. I have full time job right now the only good thing going for us. He has medical at least that helping a little with so much stress we go through. Even if he able to go back employable the stresses that he gone through for last two years now almost pretty much crippled him. He is now speech therapy and taking medication for his heart problem.

my mom has house in fla free and clear and she wanted our family to go live there , not knowign my hub is on registry . not told her nothign about it . , shes goign thru grif with this best friend kinda had long ago . comign back in our lives someway . and her takign them in since they was homless. but in the process . they have taken advantage everything and insisting on staying living there , when my mom wants them out ., they what you call squatters.:( anyways my mom always wanted us moving there . about only people she really trust , plus house be block away from school i went to as kid growing up / perfect safe neighborhood . beautiful small home . and fenced in yard.. everytime i dwell on it makes me upset of the what if ?? like if it wasnt for registry and restriction . our family would have a home. our son be one block from school .etc and we can e close to my mom . . ?? i think of us all our familys the what if . wed be able to live and be normal . j houses jobs etc children depresseing . havign to worry about who knows etc. being outcast . the what ifs . wed have have happiness and liberty in this present world... so why cant the what ifs change . why cant the govt stop the restrictions ??why cant we live normal like rest world ?
. our faith is in GOD . and only way i stay insane comforted and able to deal with the lost dreams we lost ..but the hope is in maybe one day we can fullfill them dreams and have life liberty happiness . that we once all had before this devil registry restrictions came to pass.

Im sorry to hear about your present situation sacrifice4love. Being married to a rso is not easy and finding housing that meet all the restrictions is even worse. Hurtingfamily I completely relate society and all of this crazy restrictions make it very hard for a rso and their family to make it. It's like they are doing double time one while they are incarcerated and another once they get out. Even if this is hard I'm not giving up though luckily I have a very good job and am able to support my family on my own. I'm certain that with God's help I will be able to find a house to rent temporarily, because in less then a year I'm planning on buying our own home. No matter how hard the circumstances I'm not willing to give up I have God by my side and I am sure he will take care of my family.
