25 years after your sentencing you will still be sporting a unique identifier and who knows what that "unique identifier" ( The Big Red Scarlet letter) will consist of by then? Who knows how many "others" might be included once the is Unique identifier is affixed to passports of even those who have become OverComers (over -coming the stigma and managing to squeeze back into "polite society" )

I am forever amazed at those who in some way or another style themselves as 'better than'....(incert your favorite label here..."rapists, burglars, thieves, continual drug & alcohol abusers, home invaders, & violent criminals" instead of (incert your favorite "better than them" label here " a one time non-violent mistake")
Maybe the International Megan's law should not only have "unique identifiers?" But tiered "unique "Nice guys should have 1/3rd of a big Red S sort of nice guys should have 2/3rds of a big red S and the really bad guys should get the entire Big Red S.....to "uniquely identify" " Them as international pariahs" ?

I am amazed that there are some who want so badly to pray the stigma away that they don't see that this unique identifier includes them and the Red-will-spread (Just as homophobia (in Africa) and hate speach, (Anti-Muslim aka 'terrorist' aka Immigrant-phobia "aka Mexican Rapists coming across our borders) Unique Identifiers all round affixed by the "Better Than Thou" crowd"

How about He who is with out sin cast the first stone? Just like the Big Red Unique Identifier will morph into un-imagined territory....Religion morph too.What about all those ... ""rapists, burglars, thieves, continual drug & alcohol abusers, home invaders, & violent criminals" are they excluded from becoming OK "Overcomers" and you want them listed opon some future "Registry rather than your sort of low-level Overcomer?? aka (former sinner)

Did you know that the Big Red unique Identifer the Scarlet Letter was first literally affixed to Adulterers? I notice you no longer include Adulterers in your "Better than list"? But then even the fashion in
Better than" (ar worse than me) identifiers shifts even in churches???

Sorry if I was mis-understood Janet. I'm certainly not one to compare myself to anyone else in any way. I sin just as all do. I ask for forgiveness in faith daily. I did say " I don't agree with the registry at all" and that would include any public registry including the SO registry. I do agree the authorities should have access to a registry of not only violent SO's but of violent people/criminals period if released into our communities. That would protect us all more effectively. Above I did mean to say ( I don't agree with a PUBLIC registry at all.) Hope this clarifies my position above as overall I was just trying to be helpful to others going through these types of situations.

Isn't that the definition of stigma? Each in their own "labeled" sloes? And he who is without sin gets the label maker? (or at least he who has re-joined and is now without sin should have the label maker?) I am against labels and I am in favor of "private" rehabilitation that does not then Overcome other "sinners" but maybe over-comes the personal recognition of individual need for 'redemption" of what ever sort....separation of church and State (LE public Registries? After all if LE was doing their job wouldn't it be enough to have private LE registries rather than Registries by and for the Lynch mob? ) I'm glad to hear you have over come through religious conviction but your way too needs to be private and not morph off into Evangelizing. Just my (private) opinion.I think we need to maintain a Secular Society or we go down a slippery slope
