I am not famiilar with a single correspondence course myself Jackie. I am a support person to someone in California though, and SOs here not matter what the charge cannot have access to the Internet. Other inmates can work in offices and other areas of the prison, but not SOs.

it was suggested i take it up with the universities and colleges on a personal level....calling administration and or contacting professors themselves....i dont know...will look into the community college...make our appeal and see what happens.what a crock - they will do nothing to help him get the education he so badly wants to pursue.

jackie: google - ohio university program for the incarcerated. You can print out an online brochure to send your son. I got online so that they could send it directly to my son, but he never got it. So, I sent it to him myself. If they have taken any college, you will have to get a transcript of his grades sent directly to the university and also his high school grade transcript. I have even talked to them on the phone and they were very helpful. Good luck!
