Going to try to not make this to long and hope for some input. My son has had mental health issues off and on growing up and things would happen and then he be alright for years. 6 years ago his life was moving to fast. Great job etc etc money ...Mentally he started behaving crazily. He never slept, ate stopped being concerned with hygiene. I could go on and on. He lost his family, job etc . 1 night he set fire to the seats in his truck because he was cold. We had him committed. Out in 72 hrs. They were never able to diagnose him and he would never stay on meds. He heard voices. It was a nightmare. Then he calls us 1 day and says he's sitting outside of the police dept. and he was going into tell them something about his step daughter and the nightmare turned into a 10 year sentence and he got out 12/1/14'(5 years served) He was fortunate to have completed a 1yr program in SC prisons that gave him a place to live and helped with jobs. To our knowledge he was never on meds in prison. ??? 2 weeks after his release I noticed the personality starting to change and I tried to get him to mental health and of course it was no. He was arrested for a gps violation and we bonded him out. He left the group place and went to SC to his only friends house where he lost all touch with reality. He was picked up wandering around town and in violation of some city ordinance so now he's back in jail. $1,000 bond. We are not bonding him out. According to detention officers he has to ask for mental health to get help. They can't offer it. He doesn't know he needs help. He can't go back to his friends or to the transition home and no family in SC. I am in NC and they said it would take lots of work to get him up here. We are afraid on his court date in 3 weeks they might just give him time served. He has to be driving them crazy. So now he is a registered offender and has mental health issues. The PO in the county where he was arrested said its almost impossible to find a home for a sof and its almost impossible to find a home for someone mentally ill. So when you put the 2 together we are probably looking at him being institutionalized in a mental health facility or jail or prison. Prayers would be greatly appreciated. Any ideas also
