My Constitution reads the same as yours. When our 21 year old son got arrested for pictures on his computer, his sister then 14 said they can't do that because of the Fourth Amendment. Well, I found it really hard to explain to her that we as Americans have lost many of our Constitutional Rights. Oh and now they have sentenced her brother to nine years in federal prison. Talk about CRUEL AND UNUSUAL PUNISHMENT. Our son was a saint, honor student, no crimes or parking tickets a good example for his sister OR he was a good example. He was going to teach her to drive and now when he gets out she probably won't even live with us anymore.

well i sent a copy of this letter to Nathan Fletcher some lawmakers out here in California the LA times I also sent this letter to the White House but i added a little more to it

this is the letter i did send with more added to it MY Constitution.says. We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America. IF you notice it says "WE THE PEOPLE" not John Walsh not Mark Lunsford Not Nathan Fletcher Not the city of Irvine or all of the other cities and or municipalities or all of the other lawmakers and politicians who want to make a name for themselves and who do not have the guts to honor the oath they took when they went into office to support AND defend the US Constitution. who want to ban EX offenders from parks or kick them out of their homes because they are too close to a school or day care. Article I Section 9 STATES No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.Also in MY . Constitution there is The Bill of Rights which is the collective name for the first ten amendments to the United States Constitution. one of which is the

Fourth Amendment – Protection from unreasonable search and seizure.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized..also there is the Eighth Amendment – Prohibition of excessive bail and cruel and unusual punishment.so if you commit a crime 10 15 or even 20 years ago and they pass new laws saying that you can NOT live next to a school or day care not be able to go to church or being FORCED from your home because of a school down the street or being BANNED from going to a park is all of these not cruel and unusual punishments? that is what MY US Constitution says..The Presidents oath of office. "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States." so that is what MY US Constitution
says,what does yours say??????? also anyone who has taken a basic civics class can see that all of these sex offender laws are NOT civil but PUNITIVE in nature no matter how you try and fold it up to make it look pretty EX offenders in the UNITED STATES are being oppressed by all of these draconian NAZI sex offender laws but our lawmakers do not have the guts to come out and say that these laws are wrong they do not want to look like they are soft on crime it may cost them VOTES no matter that a EX offender may have a family and cant take THEIR kids to church or to a park and the EX offenders kids can not have their parents come to a game at school or watch them perform in a school play or not have any friends because one of their parents maybe a EX offender.if these laws are suppose to be "for the children" what about a EX offenders child? why do they have to suffer? be homeless cant go to church? because our lawmakers do not have the GUTS to say that these laws are not right

This is great firecracker. I believe the sad thing about our country and our American rootsis that our roots that seemed to have been all but forgotten today. The athorityt our forfathers based there principles is no longer able to been seen. Our country, like it or not, was founded by Christian People. Our government was formed on Christian principles. Look we have even demanded that the big ten the TEN COMANDMENTS should not be up in our government buildings. Why are we afraid that some one might see them and do what follow them? Maybe it would have been good for Congressment Weiner to have read some of them. Like the one that said thou shall not lie and thou shall not commit adultry. And hey before everyone starts waving the flag at me and start saying but there is separation of church and state I will tell you that there is nothing that says that in our constitution. Our forfathers wanted the government out of our church and christian beliefs on that book THE BIBLE not the other way around. Sorry the typing is so bad on my last post. Had a really hard day yesterday. My daughter would not pick me up from work and drive me home. I worked 12 hour NOC shift then had to take the bus and walk 3 miles to get home. Remember I am a 52 overweight women that is just getting back into trying to diet and exercise. I really hurt today. I am sure there may be some of you wondering why would she do that. Well I had her car to get to work this weekend. I thought that I could go see her dad and talk to him at the House Of Correction (county jail) where if you have read some of the other posts of mine, you know he is in because he was stupid and vilated his parole. Why is my daughter so against that, because her dad is a sex offender and she has the mentality of many other people about SOs and was angry at me that I took HER car to go see him. I am sad to see my daughter like this, so angry at her father.

Personally I believe that seperation of church , state and corporations should have been in the constitution. If they have had the interference of corporations with government back when the constitution was writen they would have excluded corporations and their lobiest from interference with government. Lobiest are interfering with our government. and corporations contributions to political canidates allow corporations to contol our government and not the average citizen. Politicians worry more about corporate donations for reelections that working for the people.

I Was saying the values of the christian religion was the basis of our constitution and that we take all of that out and look where we are today. Is the constitution working no. I know that the churches have been corrupt. I know that hold churches can be good. Just like SO or anyone for that matter. I see I hit a nerve but I still hold true to what I say. It is a FACT that the men who wrote the constitution were Christian men, and that this country was built on that. Now those core values are no longer there in general and look where we are now. That was the point I was trying to make. Did not want to get into angry debate, but then again I am not surprised. I know that there have been bad things done in the name of Christ. Man is not perfect....hence the reason why the world is why it is. Did anyone who made blogs try going to the web sites that I posted? Did not say that churches should run the govt either.... that is not what the founding fathers wanted, the church was being run by the state.

Well it is not that the constitution is not working it is that the constitution is not being followed.......I really messed up my thoughts on that post.......
