Wow. A felony for not complying with unknown requirements. Good grief! Hope you have a good lawyer. This is fraud.

Arent they supposed to let you know what it is you supposedly did or didn't do? its why I cant eat now for almost 2 weeks, and suffering badly

Its Florida ..I have come to the conclusion that state is the absolute worst when it comes to unconstitutional SO laws..same state where that forced a bunch of SO's to live under a fucking bridge. Antone I see the governor of that state climb up on his soap box for all the media cameras to start going off on a tangent about how its more than ok to treat SOs this way, all I see is a man who better enjoy what time he has left on earth..cause he is FOR SURE FOR SURE going straight to hell after that

Its pretty scummy to state your charge as a 9(a), when all 9(a) states that , " If you have committed any of the above listed....yada yada yada.....effing 'tards!!!
I am so sorry now I moved from where I did to the grand state of FL.....had made the move due to job transfer and BEFORE my son was caught up in this grand illusion of CP posession.
Anyway, Sparky....I had read all of the requirements in that statute.
Have you ever mentioned or gave notice about moving to another state or jurisdiction?? Alot of what is in that statute is IF you notify them about a move out of state, and then you decide, for whatever reason, you don't move...YOU have to inform the authorities in BOTH STATES--I guess telling the ones in the new state " I ain't showing up.." and tell the existing state " I'm still here!!!"...I know, its crazy!!!
Hopefully, you have your documentation about when & where you re-filed you registration. Again, I have to echo Oneofhem's mantra of recording EVERY interaction with these numnuts....they are just waiting for anybody to cross that very thin line of noncomformance..
On a personal note--Sparky--find someway to ease your mind...and get some sustenance down. If you know in your heart that you have done nothing to cause this, then take this & keep it ...let the a-holes PROVE you intended to defraud them...I forget how long you have been out or whatever, but the question has to be asked why now?? Why would you jeopardize everything NOW? the answer is: you would'nt, and you didn't!! Take heart...there are many friends of yours here..stay strong !!

I have never informed them of an impending move, I would never leave the state because of my problems because I have 2 sons I could never leave. I know the last thing I was told last week before release, was that it looked like I failed to register in Aug 2012, but I have that paperwork. Please understand that I am thinking of everything possible that they feel I have done wrong and cant think of anything. But this torture I am going through is hurting me badly, The stress of it is unbearable because of the initial arrest in 1998. I never did jail time, just probation with no problems on my part. Im starting to wonder if its because 2 1/2 years ago I filed the petition for my wife for immigration, I just dont know, our case is in the hands of one person who makes the final decision to approve or deny me, and having been arrested for this statue can ruin our dream. Sorry my friend, but I guess im on a hunger strike or something, I wont eat, I cant focus, and this is almost more then I can handle right now. I have already wrote a note that says, IF FOUND DEAD, THE STATE OF FLORIDA MURDERED ME. Theres no way to ease my mind my friend, I wish I had the ability, but Im a very soft person, I wish nobody harm, I wish to cause no problems. I'm just a shell of the man I used to be. I see myself as a nobody in a place I don't belong, In a place where they could care less if I die. I don't know if she will do it, but I will ask. And I promise this, if it is a mistake on their part and everything is dismissed, My arrest will still show up and its hard enough explaining my past already, and if immigration denies my petition for my wife and they return her to Russia, I will be hanging from a tree in my backyard, this one thing, I do have control over, my life, and I can take it, or keep it, but if I do it, the world will know what I died for and maybe help those here to be removed from the registry and show exactly how it affects us all

I have a husband who was arrested for CP 3 years ago for a 1min and 42 second video he did not mean to downloaded and as a result is a RSO for the rest of his life and he would never think of doing anything like that to his children. I know some time it gets hard believe me, as a wife of a RSO. There are days that I do not feel like I can go on. People talking behind our backs, the sideways glances and the out right avoding we get. But he is my husband and I married him for better or worst. He made on mistake, but has done millions of good things and even with all the bad that has come with this if he was not around for my children then that means the laws have won. You have to find the grace in your life! You can not give up the fight you children deserve that from you. I know you think it would be better but I can tell you it would not. Try to put yourself in there shoes, they have stood by you now you need to stay in the fight and keep on keeping on.

I really appreciate your words so much, I am so sorry for what you and your family are dealing with. My children are the most important thing in my life, I want them to have a NORMAL life, thats all I ever wanted for them. I gave up everything to protect them over the last 15 years, I know only one way out of being labeled something you are not, and thats death. Im trying to do this in a way that my kids will not think I committed suicide, but That I died naturally, I found that by not eating, it will slow my heart down and after 5 heart attacks already, I can finally rest in peace. I find no quality of life for myself anymore, there is no hope, there is no getting off the registry. My boys have a great step dad and great mom. I know they will miss me, but as time goes by, they will still flourish in life. February 6th is my court date for something I dont even know what I have done wrong, that day will spell my future. I can already feel the denied stamp on my petition for my wife, and watching them send her back and cant bear to see. I finally feel like Im in hell already, so real hell will just be like home

sounds really kind of bogus. i'd look for every scrap of paper work proving you registered. even if it's going to the post office/police office and ask to see their paperwork.

My lawyer has it in his hands and is still waiting for his response for discovery, but still they have not contacted him, Im sorry anarchy that I have been so stressed and depressed, but I understand any violation they decide to find, can send me right to jail?

can they send you to jail. maybe, but there is always hope that THEY made the mistake and YOU will get some nice free money for pain and suffering :) well i hope at least.

My guy was arrested and charged with the same thing. His original arrest was 1994 and got probation also. He always complied until they passed a new law in 2007 requiring email addresses. He did not know it applied to him and they arrested him for using an email address in 2009....failure to comply. I hope you haven't overlooked anything and that the police have made a mistake as anarchy suggested.
