Being from VA, this is insulting. The double standard is alive and well. Nobody else under similar charges would have been able to avoid registration. Because he did not get a felony charge or other restrictions, he was eligible to run for office.

This guy has 27 lives. He royally screws up and then comes back on top over and over again. Ignore it. He's a moran.

The sad thing is that this case proves that if you have money and connections you can buy your freedom. I had a discussion with one of the surveillance officers (he was getting ready to retire) back in 2009 when I was getting off probation. He basically said that "there are people in this town with worse charges with you who aren't on the registry". The point being, that while the state law says that if you are convicted of sex offenses, you are required to register. However, if the judge says you don't have to register, you don't have to do so. The ability to get a judge to say you don't have to register comes from the money and connections.

Peek - he is a moron. He won't learn anything except to not get caught. That serves nobody.
