Wow - you know since this all started to come to light I have read varying opinions on it. I wonder how much is not what it seems (like so many things we know) or is it exactly like it seems.

Independent, you have nailed it on the head... add in a bit of grooming from boot camp on up and you have yourself an alpha male factory that when released from the military are considered weapons, where even an innocent bar fight can go from disorderly conduct to assault with a deadly weapon or even attempted murder, depending on severity.

Please don't get me wrong, I love our service men and women and what they do for us and the vast majority of them are not what I just described, but then again there are still enough of them to keep the ranks full all the way up to General, Admiral or (whatever the other one is, I can't remember) at all levels. Some obviously worse than others, using their power in different ways, not all are sexually deviant, some are morally corrupt in other ways.

I guess I wonder where all the shock and awe is coming from, anyone that has lived a human life for any length of time has figured out that those that are perceived as in positions of power or present a position of power are everywhere, from the earliest school playground to the nursing home and they will prey on the weak and insecure. I'm not saying everyone will take advantage, but there are enough in the world that do to give a good case that there are tremendous needs for improvement on an individual morality scale.

We are sending are kids there and CP is being prosecuted to the fullest degree. They need help not prison with a dishonorable discharge with life on the registry. Less then one percent of American Citizens are currently serving in the armed forces. They are being shot at and come back as different people without arms, legs, and PTSD. They need support from everybody. They don't get it from our politicians.
