Megan's Site is proving the return rate is ve

51 offenders on megan's web site from 6 months ago now 49 from my home town, What happen to the other 3? My sister printed me a listed from Megan's site 6 months so we could compare it as to how many committed another sex crime. Yesterday surprise my family as I was able to show them the results.

I hope others of you may do the same, so we can compare 6 months from now, across the country. I believe we will see the same results. Keep the megan's Web site pictures, I would like to have them for my records, for when I go public proving my point.
I am going to the court house today to find out what happen to the 3 people no longer on the web site.

Reason; by doing this, I will began to see if these 3 committed another sex crime.

If only 3 out of 51 did this number is very low and it may be lower yet. I don't know why these guys aren't on it any more. They could have moved, died or been violated. I am hoping none of them had been rearrested for a sex crime. 0 out of 51 = 0% but 3 divide by 51= .05 % Megan's Site is proving the return rate is very low.

I don't know of any other way to know what the percentage is besides doing it this way

just more proof that with support and treatment, not every single one of them is going to go back out into the world and re-offend..proving to society that they all arent monsters..

I wonder if there is a way we can compare the re offending rates of muderers to that of SO's..society doesnt seem to have a problem welcoming a murderer back into the real world..Even if he's been in trouble with the law since a young age..But if you make one mistake with a minor, your labelled for life and dont deserve another chance..Im not saying that mistake is okay, because its not...I just dont understand how someone can go murder multiple people, yet have all of the support and services they need upon release, and can go about thier lives without a label...Or how a parent can physically beat their child half to death, or sadly enough to death, yet when they get out they are allowed to go about their lives and even have more kids if they want to..they get forgiveness for thier wrong doing, why dont SO's? And why are we as family, punished for standing by them? Society treats us as if we committed the crime with them or told them to go ahead and do it....

I often wonder what these people that call us names and look down upon us and tell us we shouldnt support them because they are all monsters, if one day their phone rang to find out if their son or daughter committed a sex crime (minor or major) if they would be able to keep their word, look at their child and tell them to rot in prison and completely walk out of their lives...karma is a bitch..I wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy, but unfortunately it happens...Noone in this whole world can say with 100% certainty that it wont ever happen to them or someone they love...

Their judgment day will come...and they will regret thinking that it was their right to judge...

The town I live in has 3 cities tied together, total Population is 99,553. Megan's site shows only 151 ex sex offenders. Now I wished I had the copy of the other 100 pictures off the megan's site from 6 months ago, as I now do.

Am I right, that's not even 1% of the population. How much money is being spend to watch those of us who are not committing crimes, any longer? Making the 1% even lower

some parents do this. mine did. in fact they did worse by telling all my relatives.

Hello Anarchy, I'm so sorry that happened to you but there are those of us who love our sons unconditionally. I'm one of them and I can't imagine being any other way. I don't wish this on any parent but my philosophy is this, I think it goes something like this, "There, but for the grace of God, go I". I can't imagine intentionally inflicting that kind of pain on my own child and none of us knows what the future holds. Never in a million years would I have thought my son would be where he is. Hey they have done lots of study's into this in Australia and have proven that so have low rates of reoffending.
But they still have have a register wich sucks.

Connecticut released a study recently with very low recid rates, following released SOs since 2005. Google it.

No one has been able to produce any statistical report indicating anything but a low rate of reoffense. The one study that was used to indicate a high rate was challenged because the method used to gather the information was skewed. That even came out in the testimony to the USSC but the information continutes to fall on deaf ears. I am hoping that someday soon it will be realized that tacking limitations on those that are on the SO registry is punishing someone twice for the same crime (since they have said that the list itself is regulatory) and that not all SOs fit in the same bucket.
