I'm frustrated because my husband and I are looking for places to live in Utah but we can't find anything because we need to pass a background check to live in any of these places

I just googled "apartments for felons utah" and found several sites. Have you tried that?

I have found that "felon" and "sex offender" are very different things.

Yeah...I have to admit you're right about this. I don't have the answer to this issue, other than learning how to be homeless. I lived in my minivan for six months an experiment, but had to quit when it got cold. Not everyone has the luxury to be able to either move to a warmer area or find a place to rent.

I know. We got really lucky when we found this place. We weren't going to be homeless, but our current living situation was tearing us apart and I was just going to find a place by myself until we could get a place together.

I lived in my car once for a week (years ago.) That was very degrading. I can't imagine what it would be like for some one with a family.
