I am looking to move and PA is one of the states that I am considering. I have read the rules for the area but am really looking for others who live there to share their experiences og living there.

I really want to buy my first house so there is a real permanence to this.

I live in south central PA. it's not too bad. The main thing is the AWA. My hubby went from 10 yrs registration to lifetime due to it.
On the plus side, there's no residency restrictions or access restrictions

Thanks, I am forever in NY so that would be the same. I am looking for a place in the country, I work from home and on my spare time I do my paintings, hike and kayaking with my dog. I have a quite life and see no future of any changes.. unless meet someone who can accept me and all..Is there any area that would you would say are better than others.. I read something about an auto email being sent out to everyone in a 5 mile radius of where you want to live??That true

If you're an SVP they will paper the neighborhood, other than that, I don't think any other notification goes out. We've never gotten any except for SVPs
The Franklin/Fulton county areas are pretty nice. Lots of country and forests. getting over towards Adams and Lancaster, it gets pricey to live, but the Franklin/Fulton area is still fairly inexpensive with easy access to routes 30, 11 and Interstate 81

I wouldn't be able to help you much.. since you want to live in the country. My son, who is low risk and is still on probation is living in the city.

I don't live in PA but I do know that housing in general is cheaper there than here in MD. That's why my brother and his wife moved there.

We live in PA. My husband was on probation for 5 years, but is off now. He's on the registry for 25 years, as Teir 2 which really sucks because he originally was not supposed to be on the registry at all due to his plea. Other than that though, I think it's a pretty good state to live in. I live in a small town but would like to move out a bit futher into the country if possible.

Wow, been away for a bit. Things are crazy in a pinch yourself kind-of way. Buying a house, disclosed to the management at the office who have been great and supporting me and the job is taking on new roles and challenges that I never saw coming... I still, at times, cannot believe this is real... all I can stay is stand buy who you want to be and work your ass off at being that person and who knows...

Yes the fears: what happens when I move, if the whole office finds out etc.... but a 1 day at a times approach has help so I do not overburden myself with the unknowns and face what I know..
