I am wondering if anyone is knowledgeable of how the level assessment system works for the Registered sex offenders in prison. I know that my boyfriend will be considered a level 1, 2, or 3 when released. I am aware of the fact that there are going to be some assessments while he is in treatment, and they will assess as he goes for the next 40 months. But i was hoping for any other information that anyone has.
He is doing his time in MN. I am wanting to know if there is any way to know what level they are leaning towards. To try to plan for the future.

I know if CA goes on a tiering system, based on a contact crime with a relative, he would be classified as tier 2.
Some states base the tiers on risk level, some base on crime, or age of alleged victim.
