I finally got my 16 yr old in to see a gyno.. She got all her blood work they her pcp. She was telling him about some bumps in her anal area and he suggested she see a woman gyno because she May feel more comfortable. Well... Those "bumps" turns out They have been there almost 2 yrs and are hpv.. Genital warts. I slept with my husband at least 3 times bebefore I found out what happened. So I made an appointment. This is treatable but carries a terrible stigma.. Plus it's so insane that If I contracted hpv it more than likely came from their one time having intercourse. Just keeps getting better all the time.
I know from personal experience that children often seem to feel more angry toward their mother than their Dad/ step dad. But that passes when they get the kind of care and support you seem to be offering your daughter. It means you will eventually have the kind of solid, caring relationship with your daughter that you hoped to have all along.
There (really) is a pony somewhere under that pile of crap. We all just have to dig through a lot to fine him!
