Kentucky Laws or states you don't have to reg

His sister lives in Kentucky. It's one of the largest cities in Kentucky actually. Does anyone know the laws of that state? I'd love to start our new life in a couple years and am looking towards that area so that our son could still have his family.

I've also heard that there are three states you don't have to register in, one being Massachusetts but I'm not sure of the other two. Does anyone know which ones they are and if it's just that easy to walk away from it all? I know that the taxes are outrageously high in Massachusetts but if we could live without being judged, it would be worth it. Wouldn't it?

As I understand it, at present, Oregon does not require 1st time offenders to register.

"Oregon's online registry doesn't include any first-time sex offenders, unless they're predatory or sexually violent and pose the highest risk of re-offending."

I think even 1st time offenders do have to register in Oregon. They just don't put 1st time offenders on the public registry.

Thanks y'all. I'll have to look into it. Plus I hear that that's a beautiful state. I want to move somewhere with a ton to do so that at least my son and I can go out and have fun. It's heartbreaking to go out to the park or a carnival and see all these families and know that we can't do that. Even if he would have to do a private registry there, it would be better than some of the states I read about where you have to register 2-4 times a year.

In PA you have to register and it's public BUT in most of the state, there aren't any restrictions on how far you can live from schools and such, and once you're off paper, you can go where you want.
My hubby's been registered for 2 years now and we've had no problems with harrassment or anything. He's supposed to get of probation in may, and then he can go places like parks etc. with us
