Hi everybody!
I am glad to be part of this support group I really need people who I can express my feeling without been judge. Thanks God!
I have a concern about job search, because my husband is in jail charge for CP, I would like to know if that could affect my opportunities to find a job?. Must jobs I am applying for, requires clearance or some kind of personal investigation.
Many people are telling me, been married with a person like that is going to decrease your chances to have a good job and a normal life, because you are going to be a victim of persecution for the rest of your life.
Please I really going to appreciate if somebody could give me an advice that might help me to have some piece of mind.

Unless you are trying to gain security clearance, his past shouldn't affect your job opportunities. They are running a criminal background check on YOU, not your husband.

Exactly what Though said. When they do a background check the check your criminal history, unless you're going into a higher level banking job, then they may check your credit too. Your life will be different, but it shouldn't affect you getting a job. Good luck on your job search!

As someone who has a CP plea in my background, I found that working for a privately owned company has worked out well. They know my background but realize that my work experience and ethics far outweigh the single black mark on my record.
If you are offered a job and it is then retracted, ask why. Your husband's record is not you. My wife was in banking and my past had no bearing on her.

Your referring to jobs that require a 7 year extensive fbi clearance. They're not looking for sex offenses or the like. They're looking for extortion, terroristic tendencies etc.
