First I'd like to thank everyone on this site for sharing their most heartbreaking and challenging journeys in life so freely and honestly. It has helped me to understand, especially in the beginning, the emotional and political spectrum of this nightmare that apparently we are all going through.

My nephew was arrested one year ago. His sentencing was in April. He was sentenced to 14 years for a non-contact, non-violent, entrapment situation with the FBI. Only one charge. Not even CP on his computer/phone. Basically, sexual bantar with obviously the "wrong" person. Hind sight in my opionion...we had an ineffective, high priced defense attorney.

In the midst of all this, he lost his mother unexpectedly and was unable to attend her funeral. He and I are extremely close, but I have only been allowed ONE visit because he is still in the detention facility and their visitation is limited.

I have been one of his biggest advocates through all of this especially with the help and information provided by you all. So finally...the biggest day arrives...his sentencing and I was admitted that morning into the hospital with pneumonia. It was probably a blessing, because I think I would have completely lost it in the court room after hearing his sentence.

We are not sure where they are sending him. We are in Michigan, but from what the "attorney" has said, there are other federal facilities out of state that has far better rehabilitation resources for his problem.

Now to my question...

I have emailed him almost daily the last year and after sentencing. Almost three weeks ago I received an alert that he can no longer receive emails. At first I thought it was because of them getting ready to move him, but why can he still receive mail and books?

It's not just "my" emails (as I am always careful what I say)...it's everyone.

Has this happened to anyone before? Does it have to do with the process of him being transferred? He said he was going to talk to the counselor about it but I haven't heard anything since. I'm not sure if something may have happened and he doesn't want to tell me or if this is protocol.
