IL man in jail three years after release date

In Illinois, a reporter is trying to understand why a man - a sex offender - is still in jail three years after he was supposed to be released.

Dear Mr. Reporter - Sex offender laws are not meant to be understood. They are incomprehensible to most intelligent human beings. Try understanding something simple, like brain surgery or rocket science.

In NV if you have a parole date but want to fight your tier classification you must be behind bars in order to do that...So(there is currently a NV guy who's been in a county jail awaiting trial for 5 years on child abuse causing death but that's because the DA screwed up and just now 'found' an interview with the child's mother which might have (maybe) incriminated her as having abused the child even before she met the present guy they charged, but that's another situation right? and DA's are allowed plenty of time because ...
. But NV generally avoids messy situations where SO's are left to languish in prison even after parole is granted because (catch 22) if you decide to stay in prison and fight the tier classification for more then 12 months, then your parole is automatically null and void and you have to wait for another parole hearing ...

Nice? LOL? Wonder why so many just take "whatever" and run?
