Had this guy come at me with a hammer?
Lets just say that next time he tried to drive a nail?
It would look pretty funny on youtube.
Seriously though.
This is why RSO's and their family need to be prepared to defend themselves.
I'm not advocating starting anything, but it is not illegal for a felon to posses a Louisville Slugger.
I know the RSO is 74 but that means nothing. My Dad will be 70 on Mon. and I can tell you, you don't want to screw around with him.(he's retired CHP)
I am an RSO but not a felon so I can and DO own firearms but have never had to go there.
I've only had one incident where I was mowing my lawn and this punk 18-19 yo called me a pervert. I didn't hesitate and went over him and we had a "Come to Jesus". After that when he saw me he went the other way. Called me a pervert? he had a baby with his 16 yo girlfriend.
I know people here whose RSO family member has been attacked. Fight back. You might lose, I've had my ass handed to a time or two, but my opponent knew he was in a fight.
"I guess he ain't read the signs that say I've been to prison, some one ought to warn him before I knock him off his chair"(David Allen Coe,"Long Haired Redneck" former guest of the TexASS DOC).
By the way, I read the comments. Anyone know who that "RSOHunter is? Send him my way and I will see if he is more than just a "keyboard" tough guy.
The comments are just as ignorant as the act that idiot did as well...
If they want to be so friggin' high and mighty and enact their own form of law on others then they should be held to those SAME STANDARDS. either that or get out of my way... :)
This is too much like high school!!!! Its a crazy world.
I just got off the phone with my dad and he was going on about the "Christian" thing and he was talking about how I need counseling because it went back to when I had a boyfriend in college that I was going to marry and that it didn't work out and that, that past boyfriend must remind me of my bf now. He was going on saying really bad things about my bf and he has never met him.
He went on about how you can look him up on the internet etc. I said yes I know. But he knows nothing about my bf's case etc. He said being a sex offender is a sin. I said to my dad, it isn't the "Christian" way to judge people. Besides everyone "sins". Judging people is a "sin" too. Ugh!! It was just a horrible 40 minute conversation I had with my dad and mom!!!!
What I like to say to those that try to push that Christian card at me is ask them the same things you were asking your dad. Ask them about how they shouldn't judge lest they be judged. I also ask them when they had their first kiss. I ask them what was the average age of a wife back in the mid 1800's when religion was an integral part of daily living and custom. I ask them if they are without sin completely for if they are not then exactly where are they coming from when they judge someone else for their sins? Are they a God too?
I know they are your parents, but when it comes to questions for them, rhetorical ones are best. The kind that you know they don't want to answer to you directly because when they figure out the folly of their position they would have to admit that they were wrong, not for their position of protecting you as their daughter, but because they judging and lest they be judged should watch what they are saying.
When it comes to people you have a lot of dirt on (infidelity, poor behavior, etc) when they speak of trust and honor, I just flip it on them, ask them if they expect to still have theirs after their own actions in the past. Should they never be forgiven or allowed to be redeemed for their mistakes? For isn't forgiveness a fundamental part of the Christian religions? And to not forgive a sin as well?
