My husband suggested I take out a life insurance policy on him since he was incarcerated and his health was failing. I tried but was turned down. I was told that because my husband was incarcerated he was high risk so they would not do it..

Thanks for the info, even though that's not what I wanted to hear :( . My son has no life insurance and his health is not very good. If he dies in prison (a distinct possibility), I won't have the money for his funeral. CRAP :(
Have you checked these insurance companies that say "no matter your health, you are guaranteed acceptance" ?

I have a life insurance policy on my husband. We had it before he was convicted and I checked with the agent and they said I could keep it in force. They even sent me a letter stating it was till in effect. You may have to check with a few different ones to find one that will give you a policy.
