So many times on this forum, I have read threads where people talk about what they have suffered by the hands of those in government. I understand all too well the pain they go though, the fears they have, and the outrage feel because of how they are treated. Moreover, the powerlessness they experience by having someone in government towering over them, bullying them, and depriving them of their rights. Tonight, a very dumb government official took to sending me text messages (giving me evidence) that threatens to harm me and my ward if I do not coward to their demands in surrendering my civil rights.
When my ward was in prison, it was a minute by minute battle raging on for me to protect him. Strangely, the other inmates were the least of my care and worry because they did extremely little to harm my ward. The greater issues came from those who call themselves professionals, yet, presuppose they are above the law, that they personally own the inmates, and can do whatever they please to the inmates. The abuses of power is much like a rapidly growing fungus with no cure ever to come, and it not only affects those in prison, but also those who associate with an inmate.
On one occasion, a prison official tried to have my ward murdered at the hands of other inmates. Obviously he was not successful, but holding him accountable was impossible because everyone in government turned their blind eyes and deaf ears.
One prison official gave my ward the wrong medication to commit suicide with and, of course, everyone played dumb and blamed my ward for having the medication.
One prison official gave my ward the wrong medication to burn his skin. Again, everyone turned blind eyes and deaf ears and they were never held accountable - rather, they were promoted instead.
On prison official put contract out to have my physically injured or killed. Got that report from a government official who reported he was physically assaulted for helping my ward and me and in the course of that happening, his assailant made comments that he was coming after me next.
One prison official literally had me kicked out of the prison so he could interrogate my ward without me there and because he did not like me invoking my wards 5th Amendment rights on an allegation of accessory to an attempted murder of another sex offender. And wouldn't you know it - everyone turned blind eyes.
Tonight, I get a series of text messages from a government official that makes threats to harm me and my ward if I do not surrender my civil rights by pursuing a civil suit against several other government officials for violating court orders, state laws, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
I notified my contact in the United States Department of Justice, who is an attorney there, and his response was to tell me to notify local law enforcement because what the government official did is a criminal act. Of course, we all know where a criminal complaint will go -- right into file 13 (the trashcan) and everyone will once again turn blind eyes. After all, that is what government people do best.
Indeed, I know all too well what people go though in dealing with those in government. I know the violations of rights and liberties they inflict, and I know the bully tactics they use. But I also know that caving into such does nothing except give them power over me and my ward, and that I cannot do.
The problem with government officials is that they are extremely arrogant folks. Arrogance is their downfall, as from their arrogance comes their stupidity to give others evidence to use against them. For example, this government threatening me by text messages that they sent from their own cellular telephone -- not a bright thing for the government official to do.
One of the things I learned a very long time ago is that the best weapon a person has is their ability to record what is said or done, in some way. Whether by video, audio, or something as simple as a pen and paper. It is the life line, and often the only real defense people have to combat government corruption.
In the five years my ward was in prison, over two thousand emails were created. Yep, prison officials griped like you would not believe that I emailed them about anything and everything (that had merit of course) and yet, I did so, to made sure everything was documented no matter how insignificant it might have seemed at the time. Sometimes I would send just myself emails documenting things, because on that email is a date and time stamp that I do not and cannot control to be accuse of altering or falsifying a document.
When I encountered a government official crossing the line in legal or lawful conduct, I documented it quickly and openly. When I encountered a government official engaging in actual or potential criminal acts, I did the same. And when I encountered government officials engaging in conduct to intimidate, threaten, or coerce me, not only would I document it - I confronted them in my emails, and I carbon copied others so that in case anything did happened to me, a paper trail would exist and others would know.
Tonight, I sent out an email and carbon copied our Chief of Police and I made it known that I informed the U.S. Department of Justice who responded by saying what the government official did is a criminal act. Makes it a lot harder for local law enforcement to say "its a civil matter" to avoid doing their jobs. It's not that I have trust and confidence that our local cops will do their jobs, because I do not -- they are pretty well worthless as it is and even more so in holding government officials accountable for what they do. But there is now a paper trail created.
I am a big boy and can handle some government idiot trying to flex his or her muscle to bully me, but what infuriates me so freaking much is that they threatened to harm my ward, to use him as a pawn to bully me. I mean, a person has to be a real piece of s**t to threaten to harm a person with severe disabilities, so they can bully another person into waiving their civil rights. I don't give a rats a*s if they believe I am wrong in my interpretations of law, it does not give them any freaking right to threaten to harm a person with severe disabilities to try and bully me into caving into their demands that I not sue those in government.

Going to the media at this point is not likely a good idea, as it can be twisted into an allegation against me of acting with malice or to harass him.
My ward is pretty upset over what he has done, and dragging him into things to use him as a pawn so he can try to manipulate me with his threats, intimidation, and coercion tactics to get me to surrender my civil rights in suing state officials. This government official even went so far as to send my ward a text as well, which I told my ward to put a lock on, so does not get not deleted by accident.
The don't like bad press. And having the press pursue them about the abuse could get them to act straight while you are going after them legally.
I think we all know all too well how the system uses our loved ones and tries to sweep it under the rug. They certainly don't like it when family/friends stick up for them.
I'm sorry Legal. I hope you give them hell.
It is a personal insult added to the injury when government officials want to play the citizen like he or she is some moronic idiot without a brain cell to crap on in their claims. So any time the tables are turned and the government is under the miroscope and held accountable, just like they do to citizens, it is always a good day and awesome news.
