I've decided to opt out at Fedcure. I sent out an email in response to Mark H post and have a feeling it wasn't approved to post so thought I'd vent a bit and put it here. The top is my reponse to a email from Mark H after I sent out an article to the group about the Miami ICE agent getting caught with cp.

As much as I like getting notices from Fedcure about what's going on I can't stay in this group anymore.
Not with idiots like Mark. Who has no clue, and because he's a crappy lawyer can cherry pick the stuff he 'finds' without including the 'stuff he didn't find.' He's abusive, insulting, arrogant without a cause and I don't trust him being here and I don't trust him snooping into my affairs, judging me and my son, who he has told me in the past all about my son's guilt.
This forum is corrupt by having Mark here and I'm done.

I read your son's plea agreement and he was caught by a Brevard County Sheriff's Deputy not ICE. There was no "sting" either in that the deputy did a single source download of the video from your son's computer.
Was there more going on than was in the court documents? I would have contacted you off list but you indicated you didn't want me to.

We are not here for you to start a personal war with Mark H. You posted a message that said your son was a victim of a sting by an ICE agent. He replied that the record did not reflect that. You asked him in a previous post not to contact you offlist, albeit, that is FedCURE's policy in matters such as this. If you want to rebutt, it is your option. However, if you choose to do so, please be factual. We are not asking you to argue the case to the group; and we issue a caveat about doing so and in posting information that may be the subject of litigation and may prejudice your son's case.

I have just accepted the position of state leader for RSOL in Georgia. My ultimate goal is to change minds and hearts, first, regarding sex offenses and those who get caught up in this nightmare, as well as work toward creating fair laws. Some people are just ignorant and filled with hate and they truly do not understand the damage they do to the families of SO's with their remarks. This story is just an example of how ANYONE can be caught up in CP, even the head of ICE himself. CP charges have seen a 2500% increase so I dare to say there will be many more family members coming to join FedCURE in hopes of support and relief from these unfair laws and sentencing. I can only hope that in the future those families will be treated with respect and dignity. As for me, please remove me from the FedCURE group. I can no longer support a group that allows some individuals to post attacks and snide remarks and when you try to post in response to those remarks or in defense of another member you feel is being unfairly treated you are blocked or sent a warning. I have tried to remain a member in order to receive updates regarding federal laws and policies in order to pass along to my group members as well as all the inmates I am in contact with in federal facilities. As important as that objective is to me, sadly, I feel I can no longer support FedCURE.

It sounds like this Mark guy is an attorney and I know that many if not all of you have dealt with on at one point in time or another if you are on this list. So let me say this, he is an a-typical attorney by the way he writes. I have met someone similar in my work in this cause. And that guy wasn't even a lawyer but more of a paralegal or researcher for a lawyer. They have a tendency to get very snotty about how they perceive the world and the laws that govern us. Personally I would just ignore that man, and on a forum like that, if the post doesn't contain anything derogatory then it should be posted, otherwise it is censorship and one should point that out to him, as a lawyer those kinds of things he should understand. That by any censoring of any posts is a violation of the freedom of speech. A good moderator is a fair moderator that doesn't let their personal opinion get in the way of just making sure the peace is kept. Which is something that I have found that most of the national organizations and their forums do not enforce, in fact I have never been so bullied on the internet in my life until I was bullied by one of those national organizations and subsequently pushed out/asked to leave/etc...
