I think it is important to remind people here that this site is being watched by groups who harass and threaten those on the registry, wicked groups like Perverted-Justice, Absolute Zero United, and Evil-Unveiled. They love to steal personal info and post it on their sites claiming you are "pro-pedophile" or members of pedo groups.

I would like to remind people here to be careful of things you release publicly. Don't speak in specifics. For example, if you live in Cincinnati, Ohio, you can just say Ohio. If your loved one's conviction date was Feb. 29, 2012, just say 2012 or winter 2012. Don't use real names or any other identifiers that give you away. Create emails specific for your time on these sites if possible. Doing these things will decrease the likelihood of being "outed" or your identity stolen by these online thugs.

this is such a shame because i really learn a lot from the discussions here, more than anywhere else in truth. has anyone been trolled from this site - i am not so concerned with being on their stupid whatever, if that happens it happens, part of the chance one takes by threatening their cozy little small world, they want us to hide in shame, no can do,and i can only hope i don't pay dearly for that. but i will take your advice as far as everything else goes. i hope we keep this up and running as it is - and don't let the threat of trolls run us off.

Thanks for the reminder. Sometimes I talk too freely because I feel comfy here. I think we all do because its such a relief to find others dealing with the same stuff. Now Im off to review my post and see if I have revealed too much :( Lets hope not.

I'm not discouraging discussion, just remind new people not to disclose TMI. You can get your story across w/o getting into specifics. Sadly, these trolls are bored housewives or manginas who have nothing better to do that google you.

So far so good for me I think. I usually do try and speak in generalities and I kept my maiden name when I got married...probably a good move, even tho it was years before my husband was falsely accused

let's not let it stop us from what we are doing, good to know the importance of protecting ourselves and how to do it. i get a lot out of the in depth discussions here that i do not find elsewhere. i especially liked the post about us soft protesting - which i agree with wholeheartedly and recently about doing the time itself - son beat up second time this week. when i tried to find info on prison life seldom did it relate to s.o.s and every body has their own accounts - so it is good to hear from as many sources as i can find. anyway, lets remind others as we go along and gain new members, do not want to give the trolls any leverage, and don't want to let them bully us.

I googled my name...this is humorous....the first page is nothing but where I had singles ads! I forgot how many singles ads I had....kinda looks like I am desperate LOL LOL It does show where I have posted here but oh well. Its better than what was on the WHIO about my son. I really dont care what the trolls say or do. I can be a troll too, on their websites LOL

Mine's all the couponing/deal sites I go to...yes, yes, I am a cheapskate and a very avid couponer (tho I refuse to be called "extreme' cos that show is a joke.
Oh and it also shows my participation in the slot machine forums...well, that's why I save so much money..so i can go to the casino and play Invaders from Planet Moolah lol!

I was targeted by the Perverted assholes back in 2007. They really try to do a number on you, but there isn't anything they can do to me that they haven't already done - so fuck 'em.

LMAO!! When I joined I went to think what name to use? The I started to type an "L" and Lifestomper" came up as it is my son's screen name so I thought what the hell!!!! LMAO IF anyone googles him it gonna show him posting on here tho it is me!! I better change it? Can I?

Ok I googled it and it is my son's information, so if you would like to know my son you can google it as what he is selling on ebay, what forums he is on, his music posts, etc........ Yes my son is a punk rocker boy just like his mommy and daddy was! (or still is in heaven) =)
Wow now I can really track what he is doing!
